Barra BETA v0.11.4

Privacy policy

Last updated 5 November 2026

In short

Barra makes barcodes in your browser. What you type stays on your device, and files you import (text, CSV or Excel) are read in your browser and never uploaded. There are no cookies, no accounts, no analytics and no tracking.

Who runs this site

Barra is made by Gonçalo Canha. For any question about privacy, write to goncalocanha.p@gmail.com.

What stays in your browser

The site and the app keep your language choice, and the app keeps its options, the last numbered sequence you filled and the label templates you save, in your browser's local storage. The codes you type or import are not kept. This never leaves your device. You can delete it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.

Cookies

Barra sets no cookies.

What the server sees

Like every website, the hosting provider (Spaceship) keeps standard access logs when your browser asks for a page: your IP address, the time, the page requested and your browser's name. They are used only to run and protect the site, and kept for the period the host sets. Your barcodes are never part of these requests.

Other companies

The site loads nothing from other companies: no fonts, scripts, ads or embedded content. No data is sold or shared.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask to see, correct or delete personal data about you, and object to its use, by writing to the address above. You can also complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, the CNPD.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
